Therapeutic Indications

• The Product is recommended for use to treat the following:
• It is clear up infection in your stomach, when taken with antibiotic medicines (medicines taken to treat germs)
• It helps to improve problems caused by acid in the food pipe (oesophagus) or too much acid in the stomach
• It is used to heal and stop ulcers from bleeding in the stomach, or the part of the gut it empties into (the duodenum)

Usage Directions

• Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your Doctor. Swallow it as a whole with water; do not crush, break or chew it.

Precautions & Warnings

• Please consult your doctor before consuming this medicine, in case of:
• If you are diabetic
• If you have difficulty swallowing
• If you have had a peptic ulcer
• If you have stomach cancer
• If you have any problems with your immune system
• If you have lung disease
• If you have porphyria (too much pigment called porphyrin which may discolour the urine)
• If you have unintended weight loss
• If you are middle-aged or older with new or recently changed indigestion symptoms
• If you have a rIf you are condition called acute porphyria
• If you have kidney or liver problems
• If you have had stomach ulcers before and you If you are taking Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory (NSAID) medicines
• If you are under regular medical supervision
• If you have persistent stomach pain
• If you have breathing problems
• If you are allergic to ranitidine or any of the other ingredients of this medicine

Indicated Side Effects

• A slow or irregular heartbeat
• Swelling of your face, eye lids, lips, tongue or other parts of the body
• Unexplained bruising or bleeding
• Allergic reactions include - rash, itching or hives on the skin
• Chest pain, shortness of breath, wheezing or having trouble breathing
• Unexplained fever and feeling faint, especially when standing up
• Kidney problems, which can lead to back pain, fever, pain when passing urine, blood in the urine and changes in blood tests
• Changes in heart rhythm
• Swollen, tender or leaking breasts
• Confusion, depression, drowsiness or hallucinations
• Impotence
• Headache, dizziness or sudden, jerky movement
• Increase in serum creatine in the blood (kidney function test)
• Inflammation of your blood vessels
• Blood in your urine or changes in the normal amount of urine
• Sudden inflammation of your pancreas (you may get severe stomach pain) or diarrhea
• Sudden inflammation of your kidneys
• Stomach pain, constipation, feeling sick (nausea)
• Aches and pain in your muscles and joints
• Inflammation of liver which may cause - feeling or being sick, fever, itching, yellowing of the skin and eyes, dark coloured urine
• Hair loss, blurred vision
• Awareness of the heart beat and/or increased heart rate
• Hallucinations
• Breast tenderness or breast enlargement
• Feeling dizzy or having blurred vision
• Impotence
• Joints or muscles are painful or swollen or you cannot control their movement
• Diarrhea
• Unexplained hair loss
• Liver problems such as nausea (feeling sick) or vomiting (being sick), loss of appetite or generally feeling unwell, itching, fever, yellowing of the skin and eyes or dark colored urine
• Flushing or marks on your skin that look like targets

Interactions

• Please inform your doctor if you have recently consumed or are consuming any of the below mention medicine:
• Sucralfate, for treating stomach ulcers
• Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory painkillers (aspirin or ibuprofen)
• Ketoconazole, an anti-fungal medicine, sometimes used for treating thrush
• Lidocaine, a local anaesthetic
• Propranolol, procainamide or n-acetyl procainamide, for heart problems
• Gefitinib, for lung cancer
• Triazolam, for insomnia
• Diazepam, for worry or anxiety problems
• Atazanavir or delavirdine, for treating HIV infection
• Phenytoin, for epilepsy
• Glipizide, for lowering blood glucose
• Theophylline, for breathing problems (asthma)
• Warfarin, for thinning your blood

Storage Condition

• Store in a cool and dry place away from sunlight or as mentioned on Product/Label.
