The Product is recommended for use to treat the following:
Sudden, short-lived (acute) diarrhoea in adults and children over 12 years of age
Diarrhoea associated with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), in adults aged 18 years and over
Usage Directions
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your Doctor. Swallow it as a whole with water; do not crush, break or chew it.
Precautions & Warnings
Please consult your doctor before consuming this medicine, in case of:
Have recently travelled abroad
Are allergic to any of the other ingredients of this medicine
Have difficulty or pain passing urine
Have a medical condition that causes you to suffer from constipation (reduced frequency of bowel movements) such as a blockage in your intestines or where constipation may cause a problem
Have recently passed blood from the bowel
Are aged 40 or over
Have abdominal pain, inflammation or diarrhoea is caused by bacteria such as Salmonella, Shigella or Campylobacter
Anaphylaxis, itchy rash, shortness of breath, swelling of the face, lips, mouth, tongue or throat (angioedema)
Tense or tight muscles
Skin rash, which may blister, and looks like small targets (central dark spots surrounded by a paler area, with dark ring around the edge) (erythema multiforme)
Burning sensation in the lips, tongue or mouth (glossodynia)
A widespread rash with blisters and peeling skin, particularly around the mouth, nose, eyes and genitals (Stevens Johnson Syndrome)
Inability to pass urine
Loss of consciousness or reduced level of consciousness (passing out, feeling faint or less alert), uncoordinated movements
A blockage in the intestine (ileus), cause a lack of bowel movement constipation or flatulence with abdominal pain or bloating, feeling or being sick especially after meals, with excessive belching
Abdominal pain/tenderness, fever and rapid heart rate (widening of the large intestine
Interactions
Please inform your doctor if you have recently consumed or are consuming any of the below mention medicine:
Quinidine (used to treat abnormal heart rhythms or malaria)
Medicine being taken for any condition affecting your stomach
Desmopressin (used to treat excessive urination)
Ritonavir (used to treat HIV)
Gemfibrozil (helps reduce cholesterol and triglycerides (fatty acids) in the blood)
Drugs used to treat fungal infections
Storage Condition
