Therapeutic Indications

• The Product is recommended for use to treat the following:
• Other infections, such as sexually transmitted diseases, bone infections or scarlet fever
• Throat and sinus infections
• Prevention of infection following burns, operations or dental procedures
• Chest infections, such as bronchitis and pneumonia
• Stomach and intestinal infections
• Eye and ear infections
• Skin and tissue infections
• Mouth and dental infections

Usage Directions

• Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your Doctor. Swallow it as a whole with water; do not crush, break or chew it.

Precautions & Warnings

• Please consult your doctor before consuming this medicine, in case of:
• Have a sexually transmitted disease called syphilis

Indicated Side Effects

• Ulcers in the mouth and throat
• Difficulty breathing
• Severe skin reactions including large fluid-filled blisters, sores and ulcers
• Fainting
• Skin rashes
• Swelling of the face, lips or throat
• Diarrhoea which may be severe or prolonged and may contain blood or mucus;
• Visual impairment/blurred vision (Mitochondrial optic neuropathy)
• Nausea, vomiting
• Vomiting and irritability
• Increase in a particular type of white blood cells (eosinophilia)
• Serious skin rashes that may involve blistering and can cover large areas of the torso, face and limbs
• Stomach pains (these may be a symptom of an inflammed pancreas (pancreatitis))
• Low blood pressure
• Ringing in the ears (tinnitus)
• Inflammation of the kidneys (a condition known as interstitial nephritis)
• Reversible loss of hearing (usually associated with high doses or in patients with kidney problems)
• Vertigo (problems with balance that can result in feelings of dizziness or sickness)
• Various liver or gall-bladder problems, which can cause yellowing of the skin and/or eyes (jaundice) or pale stools with dark urine
• Confusion, hallucinations, fits (seizures)
• Chest pains
• Fever, anorexia
• Abnormal heart rhythms (including palpitations)

Interactions

• Please inform your doctor if you have recently consumed or are consuming any of the below mention medicine:
• Ergotamine or dihydroergotamine (used to treat migraines)
• Sildenafil (used to treat erectile dysfunction)
• Terfenadine or astemizole or mizolastine (widely taken for hay fever and allergies)
• Vinblastine (used to treat certain types of cancer)
• Cisapride (for stomach disorders)
• Verapamil (used to treat high blood pressure and chest pain)
• Simvastatin, lovastatin (used to lower cholesterol and triglycerides (types of fat) in the blood)
• Methylprednisolone (used to help suppress the body's immune system)
• Alfentanil (a medicine used to provide pain relief)
• Colchicine (used for treatment of gout and arthritis)
• Protease inhibitors (used to treat viral infections e.g. saquinavir)
• Ciclosporin or tacrolimus (used following organ transplants)
• Oral contraceptives
• Theophylline (used to treat asthma and other breathing problems)
• Cimetidine and omeprazole (used to treat acid reflux).
• Valproate, carbamazepine or phenytoin (used to control epilepsy)
• Clarithromycin, rifabutin, or rifampicin (used to treat different types of bacterial infection)
• Warfarin and acenocoumarol (used to help thin the blood)
• Fluconazole, ketoconazole and itraconazole (used to treat fungal infections).
• Hexobarbitone, phenobarbital or midazolam (used as sedatives)
• Digoxin, quinidine or disopyramide (used to treat heart problems)
• Cilostazol (a medicine used to treat peripheral circulation problems)

Storage Condition

• Store in a cool and dry place away from sunlight or as mentioned on Product/Label.
