Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your Doctor. Swallow it as a whole with water; do not crush, break or chew it.
Precautions & Warnings
Please consult your doctor before consuming this medicine, in case of:
Have myasthenia gravis
Are allergic (hypersensitive) to or any other macrolide antibiotic such as erythromycin or clarithromycin or any of the other ingredients in this medicine
Have low potassium or magnesium levels
Have liver or kidney or heart problems
Indicated Side Effects
Serious skin reactions; blistering of the skin, mouth, eyes and genitals
Difficulty breathing, sudden wheeziness, swelling of the eyelids, face or lips, rash or itching
Low blood pressure
Severe or prolonged diarrhea
Rapid or irregular heartbeat
Severe skin rash causing redness and flaking
Joint pain, tiredness or weakness
Headache, dizziness, vomiting, indigestion
Skin rash and /or itching
Low number of lymphocytes (a type of white blood cells), higher number of eosinophils (a type of white blood cell)
Visual disturbances, deafness
Low blood bicarbonate
Loss of appetite, taste disturbance
Numbness or pins and needles
Inflammation of the liver (hepatitis), changes in liver enzymes
Yeast infections of the mouth and vagina (thrush)
Constipation, stomach pain associated with diarrhoea and fever

Heart palpitations, chest pain
Low numbers of leukocytes (a type of white blood cell), low number of neutrophils (a type of white blood cell)
Poor hearing or ringing in the ears
Skin more sensitive to sunlight than normal

Feeling nervous, reduced sense of touch or sensation (hypoesthesia)
Vertigo
Feeling agitated
Changes in liver function
Interactions
Please inform your doctor if you have recently consumed or are consuming any of the below mention medicine:
Terfenadine (for hay fever or a skin allergy)
Colchicine (used for gout and familial Mediterranean fever)
Digoxin (used to treat heart failure)
Antacids (medicine for indigestion)
Ciclosporin (used to suppress the immune system to prevent and treat rejection of a transplanted organ or bone marrow)
Ergot or ergotamine (medicines used for migraine)
Warfarin or any similar medicines to prevent blood clots
